Geography on Shopping
Shopping for clothes is just an ordinary thing for men while it is a hobby, bonding activity or a stress relief for most women. Have you ever thought of the reason behind the long hours spent by women for shopping clothes?
It is not merely because women are very picky with the stuffs they buy, but also because of the various options available in the market and several stores that offer them. However, a lot of us are not aware that we could relate the long shopping hours of women with the geographical arrangement of women’s clothes, accessories and other stuffs in stores.
It is evident in almost all department stores or boutiques that the ladies’ section is divided into so many divisions which are sometimes located on different levels. Meaning, the ladies’ shoes could be at the second floor, the party dresses on the third floor and any day clothes on the upper ground floor. Accessories may also be located at a different area, or at a different store maybe. Conversely, men’s wear could all be compressed at a single area for faster access. Having ladies’ stuff scattered all over the store, even a whole day could be consumed by ladies just to be able to buy all the things they need.
I am just not sure if shopping items were arranged in such manner because of experts’ studies and analyses regarding women’s patience and addiction towards long hours of shopping, or the other way around.
